Issued in Austin, Texas, at an event for the animal shelter Austin Pets Alive!, this stamp and its companion were released just in time for Valentine's Day. The artwork by Chris Buzelli, an oil painting on a wood panel, gives the image a warm and textured feel. This stamp continues the tradition of the "Love" series, which began in 1973, by finding a new and heartwarming way to express the theme of love.
